YOU CANNOT TEACH A HUNGRY CHILD
Children need healthy meals to learn, and the school nutrition department strives to help your child be the best student they can be by offering nutritious meals through our breakfast and lunch programs. These programs are USDA subsidized, meet all USDA regulations for child feeding programs, and are offered to all students in Bedford County.
Meal times vary by school -- please contact your child's school for detailed information.
Each year students will be given the opportunity to apply for free or reduced meal benefits. A student qualifying for these benefits will in no way be recognized as such or discriminated against. Those who qualify for reduced-price benefits may purchase lunch for $.40 per day.
***Please Note: When applying for Free/Reduced Meal benefits, you are responsible for all charges incurred prior to applcation approval. Please allow 10 business days for application processing.***
The School Nutrition office welcomes your comments. Please feel free to contact us at any time.
